When It Rains, It Pours!

I'm Going Insane - But It's GREAT!

Immigration has finally taken off again! I have received my NVC Case Number which means my case is officially being handled by the National Visa Processing Centre. The consulate I've been appointed is Montreal, which means once we get through this next phase - I'll be heading to Montreal for the medical/interview.

I have applied for electronic processing. I believe I was approved because I getting all correspondence through email and I was able to complete forms online. I have completed the DS-261 Choice of Address and Agent form and have paid the $88 AOS (
Affadavit of Support) Processing Fee. Once that fully processes (2-3 days) I am able to move onto the next step. Phew.

There's potentially good (yet terrifying) news on the house front but I'm not talking about that until later. I'm not in the business of jinxing myself, so I'll remain silent and hope for the best. *knock on wood*.

Life is just busy. And hectic. And Stressful. And I fully admit I do not always handle it well at times. Rest assured I am doing my very best and I won't give up.

I love my husband too much.

Until Next Time,
Shan!

Still No News

We received our electronic notification on March 11th. They told us to wait 15 days. It's March 26th. Our information is still not in their system =(

I'm getting discouraged. I need some good news.

Stress

Time Heals All They Say

Who is they anyway? I'm stressed. A never ending ball of stress. Between waiting on starting Phase 2 of immigration to trying to sell my house, balance two jobs, be MARRIED. Sometimes it's just so overwhelming I don't know how to handle it. Sadly. I don't always handle it too well.

I'm tired all the time, anxious, jittery and just want to fast forward to the rest of my life.

Now I am trying to think a couple steps ahead. I have no idea where I will live once I sell my house. Finding a short term rental isn't impossible but add a dog to the equation and it gets increasingly difficult.

I'm also worried about my dog. She's in heat but she's also been really thirsty lately and according to Google, that could be liver problems. I am keeping a close watch on her to see if it persists, or if it's connected to being in heat. *sigh*

Immigration Update

Same ole. Just waiting for the NVC to receive our file and input it into their system so we can get started.

Sorry for the lackluster update. I'm just tired.

But. I wanted to give an update in case there are actually people out there who read. Ha!

Immigration Update:

It Occurred To Me...

That in just a few months, I'll be living in the good ole' US of A! I guess it's never really sunk in but I had a moment of awe that I've not experienced until this point.

Two Weeks

So I called the National Visa Centre this morning to see what my next step is, and as expected - I have to wait. ha ha! =(

My case number isn't in their system yet since we've just gotten approved. My information is currently being sent over to the NVC in Vermont (from California), so once it's received and entered into our system, we can proceed. That, however, is a 15 day wait. So, it looks like we're stalled slightly. I'll call probably every few days just in case someone gets speedy ;) It's nice to finally be moving onto the next step!

Oh Life Is ....

Wonderful & Hard - All At The Same Time!

My loving husband was here for the weekend and it was so amazing to be with him again. It was perfectly poetic that we received notice of approval for our petition while he was here too. It just doesn't get any better than that =)

Naturally, saying good-bye to him was utterly painful. =( Once we parted ways - well I've barely stopped crying. I was trying to figure out how I was getting home from the airport and every time I went to open my mouth and ask for assistance, I'd break down. The people at the airport were great though and what started out as an annoying/impossible voyage home, actually turned out to be a benefit for me.

We had rented a car this weekend and accidentially forgot to return the keys when we returned the car. Needless to say, that sucked. lol The car rental place was very far from me in terms of a bus route and I *really* didn't want to ask for anymore favours.

I know, dropping off keys shouldn't be a big deal but it seems lately, some folks don't like to be bothered. They ignore requests or simply don't phone back and let you know but whatever. Thankfully there's still a few folks out there who don't mind helping. And I appreciate them more than words can express!

Anyways, so I took the shuttle down to the waterfront and since I had about 30 minutes until my bus, I waved down a cab and did a quick drop-off of the keys!

Our Weekend:

Was way too short. His flight was delayed from Nashville and missed the connection so he got in about 10 hours later than he should have. It was a very stressful night for my love =( But when he finally got here... *sigh*

Thursday, we tracked down a car, went to Halifax to the mall, out for dinner, and back home. I can't really remember what else. I believe I had a showing on Friday and Saturday. We went for lunch, to our friends Reagan and Liam's for dinner. Had a few drinks, sang a few songs, watched a movie. Well, tried to. I fell asleep! It was perfect just being able to be together, within reach.

Chad, of course, did some repairs around my house and uh yeah, other stuff. My memory is failing me completely. Needless to say, it came and went way too fast. I miss him terribly, my heart is so empty without him...

BUT ... We took a giant leap closer to our goal this weekend and it was incredible to be re-united with him AND to share that experience while sitting next to one another! So YAY!

Chad Bought Us Matching Shirts!

Hehe!
