The Voice!

A New Reality TV Show - Do You Watch?

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a reality television junkie. Chances are, if it's a reality show, I'll watch it. Well, a competition style reality show. Real Housewives, Jersey Shore, etc., aren't my gig but Survivor, Big Brother, The Apprentice, Top Chef, America's Next Top Model and so on. I'm all over!

My latest venture into the Reality TV world is with NBC's new show, "The Voice". The basic premise is four music stars, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will act as 'Coaches' by selecting the very best voices and working with them in hopes of making one of their chosen the winner! The show's general summary can be read here.

The absolute best thing about this show? My husband is watching it with me!!! Chad is not a reality tv fan, (to say the least) and it was his idea to tune into this program! So yay for Team Chadella! ha ha!

Thus far, I'm really diggin' the personalities of Adam and Blake. Christinna is a big let down in terms of singer selection. Hopefully she'll choose better people during the next round.

So - Do you watch?

And We Wait!

Affidavit of Supports Submitted!

It's a great day in the neighborhood! I've submitted what I believe to be the last bit of documentation required for this phase of the immigration process. Now, I wait. My documented ended up being somewhere in the vicinity of 46 pages. Included are all related documents for both Chad and my co-sponsor.

I want to give a shout-out to my amazing, super, incredible husband who is supporting me throughout this process. Having faith in me for not screwing everything up and doing all he can to give me the documents I need ASAP. Also, a shout-out to my fabulous friend and co-sponsor who is helping beyond measure in making mine and Chad's dreams come true! We both thank you, from the very core of our hearts and souls.

Thank You both, very, very much! <3

I'm relieved, I'm nervous and I'm praying that I didn't mess anything up - that everything gets approved and that I get my interview date sooner rather than later and I get to move to the Good Ole' USA with the love of my life!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I'm just so happy.

And now - I wait!

Until Next Time!

Today Is Hard

I'm Feeling Really Down

I mean. Really low. There is absolutely nothing more in this world that I would like right now than to be in my husband's arms and for him to tell me everything is going to be okay.

I'm worried my house won't ever sell. I am worried that immigration will take me through to the Fall. We're delayed another week at the moment. I'm just so frustrated. =(

I need someone to hold me. Seriously.

Survivin'

Yeah - I'm An Addict

I am a Reality TV Junkie, I fully admit. While Chad, is the exact opposite. I wonder what the battle of the tv's will be like when I move there. Should be interesting!

My favorite show is, and has been since its conception - SURVIVOR! I love this season, mostly because Boston Rob is on it and dominating to the extreme. I'm excited to see how the game spans out this time around.

Immigration Update

Just waiting. I've submitted everything I can at the moment. Just waiting on our Co-Sponsor so once I get that stuff - I'll be flying high and will have submitted the final phase!

I need some good vibes to sell my house. I never told you guys this earlier because I had a feeling it wasn't going to work out - but - I did have an offer and we went through negotiations. However, it fell through. Essentially the woman was pinching pennies and I was tired of bending over so I denied any further requests and killed the deal.

But I'm being patient. It will happen when it happens. And if it doesn't, fuck it - the bank can have the house! I'm moving to be with my husband =)

Until Next Time,
Shan

Okay, Okay! I'll Update!

This is For 'Charity'!

Yes, this entire post is dedicated to my Immigration buddy 'Charity'. ha ha! We're in the same situation and are basically on the same time-line. We crossed paths on Visa Journey, a website that is dedicated to the USA immigration process. It's basically developed and maintained by people who have gone through the ropes and want to assist others in making their journey as painless as possible. The community there is really great, supportive and has a lot of information on hand!

Currently I have paid the $88 fee and completed the DS-261 form. I've also applied and been approved for E-Processing. Montreal is the only place in North American that is part of the pilot programme, so if that is your consulate - definitely apply.

I've also paid the $404 fee and have completed my Visa Application. I am currently waiting on my Co-Sponsor and need to finish completing my husband's I-864. Once I submit that stuff (It'll be another week or so pending my Co-Sponsor), I really have NO clue what's next! lol

So, it's definitely moving which is a far cry from the 4+ months we spent waiting, waiting and waiting. I've heard that Montreal is quite backed up, so I want to get this stuff done ASAP in case we end up having to wait ages for an interview.

That's all for now!
