Still Counting...

Dear Time, Hurry Up!

Well we are almost down to 3 weeks to go. My god time is crawling by so slowly. I wish I could just go to sleep and wake up in my wife's arms.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

The Waiting Game Begins!

We have a lot to do in between now and then - but it's official - we have sent our I-130 Petition to the Chicago Lockbox and await our first NOA (Notice of Action). It will be around three weeks before we hear any further news. Chad sent it off today and we're told it should arrive by Monday. Then we wait. Weeeeeeeeeee!

There are still things we probably should've done differently - but it's sent and we'll deal with what arises when/if it does. I've been a nervous wreck, stressin' to the max. Chad kept telling me to relax and not stress out so much. My how the tables have turned! Upon sending it - HE - gets nervous! I feel like it's out of my hands for now, so maybe I'll get a few hours sleep tonight for a change? Here's Hopin'!

Until Next Time,

Happy Anniversary Mr. Cavitt!

One Month Ago Today

I married the most wonderful man in existence. =) Since we are newly weds, we're allowed to celebrate month milestones without being too cheesy, right?

One Month From Today

I will get to hold him in my arms once again. Though it won't be for a long time, it will be for a good time and I absolutely cannot wait.

I Love You Chad... Forever - and a day!
Happy Anniversary!

Until Next Time,
Shan

Countdown Is On!

33 Days and Counting

I am trying to be patient and attempting not to wish my life away but ... UGH. :)

Currently our immigration petition is en route to Kentucky for Chad to complete and send off to USCIS! So if you're out there and supportive - please send all your good vibes that this step (and the entire process) goes smoothly and as quickly as possible!

That's all for now =)

Until Next Time.

Great News!

Life Is Great!

This photo was taken when Chad was on his way to Nova Scotia back in July. Well I am ecstatic to report he will be reenacting that voyage in 39 days!

He's Coming To See Me !!!!!!!!!!

We were supposed to exercise discipline and wait until next year but a long weekend came up, an airline voucher that made it affordable was remembered and we love and miss each other way too damn much not to take this opportunity! It'll be a short visit but I will cherish every waking millisecond with that man. My husband!

So Yeah. Me? I'm DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY!

Until Next Time,
Shan

Virtual Dates

It's A Modern Day Romance

Due to the nature of my marriage, virtual 'dates' are a necessity. We spend hours on the phone but it's also nice to 'do' things together. The easiest and most common for us is watching movies/shows or singing together online. Sometimes we manage to find some gems for films but sometimes, we find rusted ole lumps of slate that devour hours of our lives that we'll never get back. Like? Titanic 2. Seriously. Don't EVER watch it. I only mention it because I can't go through life knowing I had the opportunity to prevent one person out there from suffering the way we both did.

But? I think Chad secretly liked it. He wouldn't shut it off. He claims it's because I wouldn't (I admit, if nothing else, I wanted to know who lived) but he claims he watched solely because I was. What a nice husband, eh? Uh huh.

Anyways - If anyone out there actually reads this and has some ideas for virtual dates - please pass them along. Nothing that really requires any effort mind you. We're lazy like that. ha ha I don't think either of us is into online role playing/game style things either.

I suppose I could just consult google, he never lets me down.

Move Update: We hope to have our application process complete by the end of the week. We'll keep you posted.

Oh - Wedding Slide Show!

And So It Begins...

Now For The Hard Stuff

I had some company and a weekend excursion which has kept me a little too busy and occupied for either of our likings - being apart is much more difficult than I had anticipated. I figure once we get back into the swing of things, the constant jabs of pain will cease to exist. I hope so.

Everything is going to slowly get back to normal *knock on wood*. So guess what that means? Paperwork! I was originally going to hire a lawyer because I hadn't the first clue where to begin or what was involved. After speaking to a couple people and doing some reading, I think I am going to try to do it myself. So - we started the paperwork yesterday! I filled out a few forms, and now it is is basically what I am going to call - "The Collection Stage". There are things we both need to do and get to compile the petition to get me over there. Wish us luck - please. We'll need it.

Oh yeah and hunnnney - if you're reading this? We still need to find some time to listen to our amazing awesometastic friends who sang us a wedding song!

Until Next Time,
Shan
